If your data is really important to you and you are willing to invest.
DO not turn your system on again! Every time you do it writes to the hard drive and may over write your original data!

Buy two things: A hard drive and the software RESTORER2000,
there are also other software programs on the market that can restore your data.

Disconnect your current hard drive, just remove the power cable from it. Install the new drive and install your operating system on to that drive. If the install will not function, that means your restore disk is not a full version of the operating system and that will cost you another $100.00 to purchase Windows XP.

At any rate, once you have your system up and running with the new disk. Reconnect the original. Install restorer2000 on the new disk, start it up and point it to your old disk. follow the instructions for data recovery. You must write the recovered files to your new desk, not back to the old, because you may further over write data that you are trying to recover.

what u want to do is go to start, then help and support, then click system recovery. pick a date before the day all of your stuff got erased. then hit next and so forth. your stuff should be back. and if your computer doesnt turn off, next time just hold the power button for 10 seconds or unplug it, or if u have a laptop take the battery out.

Take it into a computer shop that does repairs and see if they can recover your information. It should be there somewhere. Don't reset everything back to the original yet!!!! Take it to professionals to look at. It will be well worth the cost if they can recover it.

Go to the control panel to system restore and set the date back to when everything was like it was.
or you should have gotten restore cd's when you purchesed your computer. They come with it, and just run those. That should do it !

Vero,

You need to be more specific, when you say you lost everything are you saying you cannot reboot or that your drive seems to have been wiped clean?

Please try and provide as much detail as possible so others might be better able to help you.

You can email if you like.
