I have been friends with this girl since the 4th grade. So roughly 14 years. This summer she broke up with her boyfriend and picked up and moved to 1500 miles away to be with her ex boyfriend and is now engaged with out even telling ANYONE. So she has called my other friends but not me. When i asked a mutual friend why she said its because im still friendly with her ex!!! So a "best friend" of 14 years who is 1500 miles away with her fiance wont speak to me because I occasional talk to her ex. JUST AS FRIENDS.. She's the one who picked up and left with out saying goodbye! Am i the only one who thinks this is crazy?

your friends can't choose who you speak to or don't speak to. she should respect your decision. she is childish and insecure. things will never go back to normal between you and her so you better move on. you did not do anything wrong. I believe she went to her ex and got engaged to him so she can get the guy you speak to jealous because if she is really happy then she would not care.

No your not the only one. Your friend is being immature. If she in a happy relationship with her fiance, then she wouldn't have a problem with you occasionally talk to her ex as friends do. Unless your friend still has some sort of feelings for her ex, I don't see what her deal could be.

"Ha" is right. There's no such thing as an everlasting friendship (or is it best friends?). You can be friends with someone since you are six, and eventually, there'll be something that just keep you both at a distant from one another. You just can never really trust them.
