I know its more than a ton. But I'm not so sure how much.

300 cubic feet is 11.11111.....cubic yards. A cubic yard of wet soil is about 3000 pounds, dry is about 2100 pounds.
So you are looking at between 23,333 and 33,333 pounds.

a LOT more than a ton.. more like 7-8 tons.
