in my mind, abortion is a violation of the commandment, "thous shalt not kill." from the moment of conception, the fetus is alive and deserves the RIGHT to life.
pro-abortionists-----did you ever stop to think that you could have been an abortion? can you sincerely say that you can look at your mother and/or father and say, "it would have been alright if you aborted me? i'd understand it was yor CHOICE.
there are thousands and thousands of couples waiting patiently for a baby to become available through adoption. why not, in charity and human kindness, give birth; thus allowing your child to live and surrending the child to a family that will nuture, love, and care for the child YOU DON'T WANT.
pause for a moment and think about how different life would have been without:
Jesus
Plato
Charles Dickens
Franklin D. Roosevelt
Bette Davis
Elvis
Mother Teresa
Peter Boyle
YOU!
as christians we must promote life, value life, protect life, and pray for those who are opposed.

It is unlinkely that a fetus can feel pain. While it is true that pain receptors and the portion of the brain which perceives pain have begun to develop in the first trimester the neuro-chemical links between them do not devlop until the 23rd week of preganancy at the earliest.
The legs and feet are not ripped appart when removed, at the most developed stage that abortions are performed (14 weeks when not for emergency reasons) the fetus is only 8cm in size over half of which is just the head. It is simply removed and there is no deliberate mutilation. However in most abortions the fetus is small enough that it is simply passed as a blood clot no different than a heavy period.
The fact is that women get pregnant when they don't want to. Sure we wish that didn't happen but to deny it would not be living in reality. And in this world where those things happen these people need an option. And most of the time keeping the baby is not viable because the mother does not have the economic means to provide for it. And usually the same for adoption. A mother must go througha full pregnancy (which is very dangerous) and pay for all the medical procedures involved with check ups and giving birth before the baby can be given up.
Arguing that abortion should be illegal because you can prevent unwanted pregnancies is like arguing that the flu shot should be illegal because you should be diligently washing your hands and not spreading the disease.
And also we could cut the abortion rate in this country down to a quarter of its current level if the morning after pill were made available over the counter. However religious funamentalists rejected it not because of the science behind it but because they believe that a woman who chooses to have premarital sex should be punished in some way.

Listen, Abortion is a huge controversy and in my opinion it shouldn't be. I understand completely about killing something who is innocent and deserves to grow up and live life. But, my arguement remains the same. There is many different reasons why women have abortions and I condone it under certain circumstances. If a women was raped and became pregnant, I would not see anything wrong in her having an abortion as long as it was not late-term. Overall it's the womans decision. And, if she has been through something so traumatic, of course she might not want to raise a child whom was created by a man who she did not want to impregnate her. Late-term abortions I am totally against because after a certain amount of time it's inhumane to kill the child because it's already almost fully grown and basically alive. But, in circumstances like the one I mentioned it could be very traumatizing for someone to give birth to a child who is constantly reminding her of the horrible experience she went through. I do not believe in "God" and so I do not agree with the opinion you have stated. But, I do believe it is the woman's choice and yes, there should be restrictions on when women can have abortions. But, I do think it should NOT be an issue especially to lobbyist who have not been through what a rape victim has gone through and don't understand how she might feel giving birth to that child.
Hope my opinion meant something because I feel very strongly about it.

I'm for abortion. Before the embryo has a nervous system, it isn't capable of feeling anything. It does not have any fully functioning brain and nervous system at ten days. The brain doesn't even start registering stimuli until 24-26 weeks. Any time before that, the fetus is not aware of its existence and will not in any way know the difference of not being born.

i'm in simple terms going to wager everyone against it has under no circumstances been confronted with a complicated determination related to it. at present an incredibly close chum of mine found out she replaced into pregnant. She has 2 little ones already that advise the international to her and she or he has been seeing her boyfriend for greater or less 7 years, incredibly her little ones father, yet no longer biologically or legally. She replaced into raised as a Christian and there is not any longer something greater significant to her than her little ones. regrettably, her boyfriend knew this. He advised her flat out that if she did no longer have an abortion that he might throw her and her quickly-to-be 3 little ones out on the line, sell the abode, disappear and not in any respect get a dime from him. regrettably, she made the determination to pass by using with it and that i replaced into the guy that went there along with her. i replaced into the guy that comforted her by using all the questions approximately God now hating her and her being a foul individual and all the tears, no longer her boyfriend. or maybe worse, she's nevertheless with him.

At 10 days old I think it is still a small clumb of cells and is a long way from having a thumb or a a mouth to suck it with.
Nonetheless - I think abortion is a failure of society. It is probably a necessary legality but it is never, every a wanted thing. Nobody wants to have an abortion.
The answer to drastically cut down on the numbers of abortions is along the lines of:
1. Have real, meaningful, practical, no BS sex education taught early and taught often.
2. Have birthcontrol available to everybody who wants it.
3. And, most importantly, when accidents happen, society in the form of families, friends, schools and churches need to step up and support the mother in making a good decision - specifically adoption.
Instead of blowing a lot of hot air on this subject we need to get together and fix the problem that nobody wants to have!!!

Pain is only felt when the fetus is about 6 months old. During the first timester (when most are done), the fetus doesn't have enough brain function to even have pain receptors. Like, the Terry Schiavo debacle (remember THAT?), where they did the post mortem, and they found that she wasn't aware of ANYTHING, her brain had shrunk so bad it was about the size of a walnut.
BTW, partial birth abortions are just political bs, because most are performed when the fetus is already dead. It's just a way for religious freaks to try and push their personal agendas and trying to control everyone because they think they should.

Nobody should force a woman to bear a child against her will - it's her body, and if she chooses to have an abortion that's her right, both morally and legally.
Also, nobody male has any business telling women that they have to give birth to a kid - since that's something that's never going to happen to us, we shouldn't make somebody else go through that. Also, men always have the option of abandoning their kid once he/she is born - for women, that's a lot harder to do, they're basically stuck with the kid til he/she is 18!

I think it is wrong to have a child you don't want and give it a poor life. I think it's wrong for someone to force someone into the decision of either doing it or not doing it. I feel your right about using protection. What about women who are raped? does that mean a woman should live with the pain of raising it or the pain of getting rid of it.
