Sam1 - dear God, if you are indicative of the standard of police officers in this country, then I sincerely bloody hope I am never a victim of crime. How bloody dare you accuse someone of having OCD - even know what that means, you ignorant f*uck?
If you applied your mind (the one I'm assuming you have somewhere) it might occur to you that Crispy does have something of a point. Yes, the media coverage - esp. in the tabloids - of this story completely sickens me.
Obviously, none of us really thinks the deaths of 5 people is anything to laugh about - but that doesn't mean we can't criticise the inept and salacious coverage it's been given. "Suffolk Strangler" "Ipswich Ripper" - all designed to make us want more and more disgusting details.
It is actually YOU that sickens me, Sam1 and all of your fellow imbeciles. Try reading a question properly and getting the sense behind it before you start yelping about OCD and God alone knows what else. Cretin.

If you think the murder of five people in one area, in apparently a matter of days, is no big deal, then you are beneath contempt. In fact if I was the lady from Suffolk Police I would be asking Yahoo for your registration details and asking your local police force to pay you a visit, as you are displaying seriously worrying tendencies!
If anyone thinks this has been blown out of proportion, then I suggest they watch Fox News Channel, or any other US news outlet, where one person going missing for 30 seconds is given this kind of treatment.
Whilst I hate the tabloid press, and everything they stand for, if they at least serve the purpose in this instance of warning young girls across the country to be careful when attending Christmas parties - and maybe even discouraging people from experimenting with Crack Cocaine and Heroin, then they will have performed a useful public service.

Yeah it's been blown out of proportion, just what the killers expected and wanted.....That's why they chose to do something that would immediately make people think of the ripper murders, media coverage you can't buy......Think about how text book the murders were:
prossies: easy targets
strangulation: most effective and least sloppy form of murder
dump in water: ridding of or contaminating evidence
Dumping the bodies in a place other than that of where they were murdered: helps to discard any evidence that may have been left.
plus think of the infamous Jack the ripper, what better inspiration to become famous.......and easily.

serial murders don't happen often in the UK and that is why when it does it gets allot of media attention, serial killings when they happen can be a potential massive problem because until the murderer is caught there can be no knowing how many other people he's capable of killing, with all the media attention it can help catch him faster and in which case will save lives.

It is a very scary time for the People of Ipswich & I feel so sorry for those poor Women...& their families... But ..Yes in a way I can agree with you - did you see the media circus that is down there ..I think they may hamper the investigation... as there is reporters crawling all over the crime scenes and intimidating people into saying things that are maybe not true...
