I am 24, and have been traveling the world the last six years. Just after I graduated high school, I hit the road and began a long and interesting adventure around the planet. I am in Taiwan now, as The journey is coming to an end, and i am looking back wondering what i have to show for all my time working and living in all these different countries. The answer is; not a lot. Most of the time, I have taught English as a second language for an income, but I know that it's not what i want to do for the rest of my life. I also picked up martial arts, trained rigorously and started competing in international MMA (ultimate fighting)events. But I'm getting older now. I also played drums consistently since I was thirteen, and have tried to keep busy in various musical groups throughout my travels. But still I am broke and have little to no plan for my future. Am I too old for school? Sometimes I think that my personality doesn't thrive inside academics. How can i start to plan my future? :)

i think you have learned a lot by traveling, must be scary though having done that for 6 years and now thinking about doing something more permanent. i don't think is ever too late to go back to school though, i have an aunt who is in her 60's and is just finishing college, she studied photography, so you are definitely not too old. good luck

I think that travelling is one of the best ways to learn about the world. It is a fantastic experience. You are clearly very resourceful ith all you have done, and why would you need to go to school? I don't think school could teach you much!

Had you thought of starting your own business? Say in martial arts training?

You might be broke financially but it sounds as though you have a rich experience of life.

Good luck.
