It is clear who Xemnas is, but the other ones..do we ever meet them in their forms before becoming nobodies?? Especially Axel im interested in knowing who it is..

Well, interstngly enough all of the Organization members just have an "x" added to their name. Only Xemnas' (Xehanort) and Roxas' (Sora) others are shown with a picture, but the remaining five of Ansem the Wise's apprentices have had their names revealed.
I Xemnas=Ansem (adopted name, really Xehanort)
II Xigbar=Braig (Bleig in North America)
III Xaldin=Dilan (Dilin in North America)
IV Vexen=Even
V Lexaeus=Aeleus (Eleus in North America)
VI Zexion=Ienzo
XIII Roxas=Sora
About Axel, I have been wondering about that too, but only Ansem's apprentices identities (the core of the Organization) are revelaed. Not much to work with with only the letters "a," "e," and "l." Hope this helped you out at least a little bit.

No they don't show up at all through out the whole game. It wasn't thought of until the middle of Kingdom Hearts 2 planning.

We don't know, but we do learn that the number I nobody is in fact Roxas (Sora's nobody) the others are not known. However, its been suggested they were all assistants of Xemnas.

I didn't play chain of memories so I'm not sure if they tell you in that game. I know they first appeared in chain of memories though. But as far as I do know, you never met any of them in KH1. I wish they would have told you more about them though! Organazation 13 made the whole game, the characters had such awesome personalities!!!
