It's traditionally been the role of men to be bread winners. Be mindful that feminism boosted the role of women but that men have had no equivalent movement to evolve their social function.
If you mean guys as in "any guys" not just your boyfriend, well chicks act the same as guys - anyone would resent you if you earn more than them and flaunted it.
