After everything Lieberman did to get reelected, I can't see him just walking away from the Senate.

I don't believe Lieberman would accept an appointment to the UN even if President Bush wanted him to. Senator Lieberman is a possible Presidental Canidate for the 2008 election.

Yes I do. I heard my brother in law say this 6 months ago. He works at Family Institute of CT, some nut job, right wing gays are bad secure the family Catholic thing and they knew about this well 6 months ago and say there is some plan to apoint Liebermen to a post so that Rell can replace him with a Republican. Schlessinger is the guy who ran against Lieberman and before the election he was quoted as saying it doesnt matter if I lose, because in the end I win anyway.

There is no way Lieberman will leave the Senate to work for this white house because his career would end when Bush leaves in two years. He will not win another election if he gives control of the Senate to the Republicans. The people that need to worry are the Republicans in the Senate that will be up for reelection in two years because this president plans to stay in Iraq and this is not what the people what. This will cause the Republicans to loose the White House and it will increase the number of Democrats in the Congress. Swing state Senators and swing state congress members are in trouble unless they switch parties. Bush is destroying the Republican party and the morons that support him will go down with him.

43's right, plus it would take Sen Lieberman out of running for President again, so I doubt he would take it. I bet he would rather stay in the senate.

Bush may offer, but Lieberman is under no obligation to accept.

I think it is very unlikely.

I wouldn't be surprised to see either Jim Baker or Henry Kissinger get approached about it though.

It would be a lower position.

The only way he would take the job is if Blackwater kidnapped his grandchildren and held them hostage.
