They could be, but there would greater peril to the health of the babies and the Mom. Triplets are usually small compared to single baby births, but they may have trouble getting into the correct position. Because they share a placenta, the placenta may detach and cut off oxygen before the babies are all through the birth canal.

Yes, and it has been done before. It's not often the case, however, b/c the babies typically mature before the mother's body is ready to deliver. Multiples develop faster in utero b/c of fetal stress, so triplets would be "full-term" at about 36 weeks.

There are some risks, however, such as one (or more!) of the babies turning around after the first is born (not totally life-threatening, my doc said if my daughter was breech she would've just yanked her feet and pulled!!), and there's also the possibility one (or more!) of the children will need to be delivered via C-section, also not necessarily life-threatening.

A person who is pregnant w/ twins or more will typically be delivered in an operating room under VERY controlled circumstances, and the doctor and attending nurses will be prepared for whatever situation arises.

Multiple pregnancies, though rare, have been occurring since long before hospitals! A fun fact I pulled from a website about the oldest triplets who ever lived: 6. The World's Oldest Triplets Who Ever Lived

The longest-lived triplets ever recorded were Faith, Hope, and Charity Cardwell (USA) who were born on May 18, 1899. Faith died first on October 2, 1994 age 95 years 137 days.

Of course, it doesn't say whether they were born vaginally or not, but it's possible! Unless 2 of the multiples are monochorionic/monoamniotic twins, there will be NO shared placentae.

Definitly possible, but they usually induce with triplets because of the tension it puts on the mother's body. Most triplet mothers end up with hypertension in their last month. Dr's prefer to do a C section.

i'm confident its plausible, yet I doubt any clinical specialist ought to opt for to provide triplets vaginally by way of a larger chance of one or more advantageous of the toddlers being breech or transverse. Twins must be born vaginally , and typically are.

They can be but usually doctors prefer c-section because the babies are safer that way. I have triplets myself and their mother had a c-section.

yes they can . My mom delivered triplets naturally. but it is not safe there are so many things that could go wrong a c-section is always better for multiple births.

It is possible but not the usual route. They are often born early and under controlled circumstances to avoid serious complications (ie: blood clots in the brain)

Julius Caesar's mother died giving birth to just one kid Julius, and that is where the word Caesarean came from. Just imagine the STRESS on the Mom if she had to give birth to triplets.

yes, but its not safe. More babies mans greater risk of one or more being breech, which can result in fetal distress and possible death. A scheduled c-section is the safest route to go.
