The term muckraker was first used by Thomson and it's mostly used by some Britons in reference to the tabloids but it is a term we don't use, and yellow journalism is being unprofessional in journalism..☺

Muckraking is bringing up dirty social issues and exposing corruption. I believe yellow journalism is Yellow journalism is a pejorative reference to journalism that features scandal-mongering, sensationalism, jingoism or other unethical or unprofessional practices by news media organizations or individual journalists.
