Having your new born on Christmas day?

That's the best gift someone can ever give you! :)

im due on Christmas day too! can you believe its only ten days away? feels like it is taking forever though, and im still only 1 cm dialated- even though ive been having labor pains for a few days now. my nurses told me at about 37 weeks that i could go any day up until a week or 2 after Christmas- im sure its the same case with all pregnancies. Theres all those wives tales on how to start labor naturally- like sex, walking, and bumpy car rides are just a few (but so far none of those have caused it to happen for me). But, in the end, i guess they just come when they are ready to, no matter what we want or try for lol. Congrats on your little one and youre right, it would be the sweetest gift :)

I hope all goes well, but all I can say is, my son was born around Christmas six years ago and the maternity unit was seriously under-staffed as so many were away on holiday, on top of that the docs seemed a bit tipsy, I would recommend you have the baby when the labour ward has its full complement of non-celebrating staff.

I'm due on New Years Day, so I know how you feel, I'm hoping she turns up between Christmas and New Years so that I won't be in the hospital for the holidays. Good Luck To You!!!

My best advice is to NOT try for Christmas day! It is SO busy at maternity (because so many people think it would be fun to have a baby on Christmas and clog the system hoping they're going to be induced and what not)! I was in the maternity ward every single day (not because I wanted to be but because I had to be) when I was pregnant - my son was eventually induced on the 29th...and there weren't even beds for me to use!!!

Just remember that with any major holiday, that poor kid's b-day may be overlooked. My sister's b-day (born on the 21st) was always swept under the rug in favor of holiday parties & I had a friend who was born on New Year's Eve and he NEVER got a party, the poor guy!

It would be nice, but remember when s/he is older don't double up on a gift, like here is your Christmas and birthday present, this happened to my aunt a lot and she hated it. She didn't get birthday presents and Christmas presents she got a combined gift.

My friends baba is due on xmas day. She was expecting twins, but unfortunately one died, so as and when this little one pops out it'll be the best pressie to have a healthy one to celebrate the arrival no matter what day.
Good luck to you and your anticipated gift x x

My final AF became DEC third, and now im 7 DPO... And im very nevous. i desire to take a attempt sooo undesirable yet i think of its to early to come across. we could constantly wait atleast until Sat morning. And we could constantly take it as quickly as we awaken out of the mattress. I had humorous cramping, decrease returned soreness for the final 3days,yet at present, i've got faith wide-unfold. attempting to get pregnant is nerve recking, I wish it could take place all waiting. sure, we are in a position to talk
