Check if the LAN cable of your Server is connected properly, check the "work group" of the server and your computer. Right click on "My Computer" and properties, network identification, if not correct go to properties and rename the server work group. If correct as is in your system, right click on "my network places" and select option find computer and type the name "as named in server," this should find the server.

your question is ambiguous, but I'll try.

Maybe you are seeing the other pcs because they are connected to the same network switch as yours.
On the other hand maybe you do not see the servers because they are beyond a gateway.
did you set a gateway to see the other servers?

You need to share a drive(s) or folder(s) on the server
