Someone asked me to make sure their lawyer files a Certificate of Satuary (spelling??) with the state's Supreme Court. I want to know what the correct spelling of satuary is. Or if there is no certificate of satuary, what is the correct name of the certificate?

I think you mean "certiorari."

It's a petition for writ of certiorari asking the court to hear the case on appeal.

CERTIORARI, and if the person who asked you to do this is hanging out in the law library or heard it from friends, he/she should have also been informed that the Attorney handling his/her Appeal would have to file this.
