My period is two months late and my breasts have been extremely tender. I have taken two pregnancy tests at home and they both came out negative. I am on the pill but had previously missed some doses. It is unusual for me to miss a period or to have tender breasts. A friend told me that birth control can cause a false negative on a pregnancy test. Is this true?

It can. Stop taking your birth control immediately if you think you are pregnant. This happened to me, and turns out I was pregnant. I am now 7 months :) But anyways. Stop taking your pill and in a few days take another test. Goodluck :)

If you miss a few pills, that messes up your hormones which can cause your period to be late and your breasts to be sore...but you still could be pregnant if you have missed some pills and were still having unprotected sex! Get to the dr. and have them test you by pregnancy from a blood test...that will tell you for sure! If you are pregnant you need to stop taking the pill immediately!!!

Most pregnancy tests say that the birth control pill doesn't screw up the test.
