First of all, get interested them! Write down questions you have about them. Write down all their little quirks. Write down their description, i.e their big brown eyes, full lips, etc. Write down things they have done, the look in their eyes, and everything! Put it down on paper in a logical format and you're done!

Example:
Notes:
-She likes to drum her fingers on the table
-Her hair is sometimes straight, sometimes curly
-She bites her lip
-Her left eye twitches when she's mad
-Blue eyes
-Pale pink lips
-Golden-blonde hair
-etc, etc

Marie is one of the cutest and funniest little girls you've ever seen. Her golden-blonde hair is always aranged in a different, becoming style. Her pale blue eyes are a very expressive part of her body. The left eye twitches when she's mad or confused. She bites down hard on her delicate light pink lips when she's trying to think hard. etc, etc, etc, etc.

So, that's how I write a character sketch!

Just write about the character. What he or she wears, appearance, if a particular accent is used for when that character speaks, their background history, etcetera.
