Very slim chance that he will leave the area. Serial killers are known for staying in the area. Unless of course, the police find him, he might hide.

Serial killers tend to stay in an area they are familiar with...to risky to go anywhere else

he is most likely confined within say a 20 mile radius of where he committed his crimes. the media coverage is vital in keeping the public informed and the press follow guidelines - of what and what-not to publish.
