and i know its not west side story or mi vida loca.the theme was dancing compotion and gangs it was mostly about the two dancer girls and they were meican!. its an oldder movie.
the gangs were called 9th street and 4th street. and one of the girls dies.

and i know its not west side story or mi vida loca.the theme was dancing compotion and gangs it was mostly about the two dancer girls and they were meican!. its an oldder movie.about girls that maybe set it like the 90s time era.

Okay to all you fools who answered West Side Story - for shame on you to just generalize all Hispanics to that one movie when in all reality there were maybe two PUERTO RICANS in that whole movie.
2nd - Maria does not die in West Side Story - Tony Does
3rd - If I know my movies correctly - you may be thinking about Mi Vida Loca - but in that movie neither of the girls die - it is the man Ernesto that they both had a child by who dies and also El Duran a leader of a rival gang - gets shot or stabbed at the dance.

You didn't really indicate the era, but it sounds like West Side Story.
Takes place on the West Side of Manhattan, as the title suggests, and is about warring gangs, one of which is Hispanic. There is a dance early on, and at least one of the girls (namely Maria) dies at the end.
PS. This isn't necessarily an incorrect answer just because the gang in West Side Story wasn't Mexican - it is perfectly plausible that the OP thought the characters were Mexican when they were, say, Puerto Rican.

I think it's called Mi Vida Loca. The one chicks name is like Sad Girl right?
I am almost possitive I saw that on HBO a while back. Two of the girls get into a fight over a guy named Nestor if it's the same movie I'm thinking of.
I dunno, I could be way off but I gave it a shot :)
PS it's NOT West Side Story, West Side Story is about a PUERTO RICAN gang not Mexican...
