That's a very good and interesting question! Don't see too many of those on here lately, 'fraid to say. A pity I can't think of an answer! I honestly cannot think of any singers or bands of the last decade would make "oldies favorites" status, in the league of Elvis (50s), Beatles and Stones (60s), Pink Floyd and Eagles (70s), Michael J. and Tears for Fear (80s). Maybe Eminem? though I'm not partial to rap personally, he IS good...

I don't think there are any new bands that are deserving of becoming classics-----I hope not. But I'd go withh the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they've been around since the 80s and are STILL making new awesome music. They manage to change it up a little with every album, yet still be distinct.
