if You Got a Windows XP and the file system of your drive is NTFS you can easily make your Document and setting Private (control panel -- user accounts ) other users wont have access to your documents , but if its not exactly what you are looking , here i recommend a software called Hidden Folders Xp , it worked for me , you can download a 30-day trial version below. there are Lots of other softwares you can download . try www.download.com if you need one.

You should set up seperate profiles if you share your PC and are concerned that someone else might have access to files, folders or documents. If you set up different profiles, then someone would have to know your profile password to log into your profile.
If you have different ID's (profiles), then based on the access rights of other users will dictate how they can access all folders on the PC.
You can set up *password protected* MS Word docs.

You can make any folders that you wish for no one else to see and set them to 'Private'. You also need to set up a profile on your computer so that when you sign in it will prompt for a password and through your profile you will be able to see any folders that you set as 'Private'

Not that I know of, I know you can download a program somewhere (Google it), that'll lock the folder for you, and when you click on it, it prompts you for a password.
