The're both muslim religious/political organizations.

Hamas wants an end to the state of Israel and 100% repatriation of Palistinians who were driven from their homes. Fatah has realized some time ago, that all that would be an unrealistic goal.

Symptomatic. Give them a chunk of land and promise to leave them alone and what happens? Do they make the deserts bloom? Establish vibrant economies? Establish educational infrastructure for their children? No... they start shooting each other. Hamas v. Fatah. Sunni v. Shi'ites. Kurds v. everybody. They can't survive without being permanent victims of some oppressor. A handy excuse for not getting your act together.

Palestinians voted Hamas into power. Hamas is a terrorist group. The world therefore (correctly) is isolating the Palestinian government, and the Palestinian people are suffering.

Fatah is relatively moderate, and there is a power struggle. Unfortunately, this is a warped society where guns in the street are seen as a good way to handle things. Similarly, this warped society of Palestinians thinks suicide is good, thinks terrorism is good. The Palestinian society has been warped by decades of dictatorship. Dictatorships cause terrorism.

Women don't provoke rape, and victims don't provoke terrorism.

It's heavily armd politics. Imagine if the Republicans and Democrats had little armies of their own. Guys to shoot stuff up, do security, threaten people, and attack who ever their political party didn't like. That's what's happening over there. Instead of taking their arguments to Fox news, they just shoot at eachoher.
