First, I went out to breakfast with my mom and she got me a video camera! ...Then my brother came over and he got me perfume. Later on today, my boyfriend is surprising me with *I don't know what!!* and is taking me away for the entire weekend!... this is the best birthday ever!!!

I was 3 months pregnant, living in a rented room, sharing the bathroom with 12 other renters, supporting my baby's father and his drinking. No party, no present, not even a birthday card.
With the exception of my living/financial situation, it wasn't that much different from all the birthdays before and only a few since. I turned 66 two days ago. Got a e-mail from my sister, nothing from my daughter, and a "We don't do birthdays, do we?" from my husband. It would have been nice to at least have gotten a card, or a cupcake, or a Subway sandwich.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I don't remember my 20th birthday even though it was only 4 years ago. ha ha. Anyways have a good one, you only turn 20 once. Enjoy it.

No, but that was 5 years ago for me. I know I was in college and probably working and taking classes. It was as I was finishing up my first degree and getting ready for my second degree and marriage. I probably got a camera and/or roses from my (at the time) finance.

Not really between the shots and bong hits, I can't recall much. I do remember snowboarding in the moonlight on Berthoud pass near Winter Park. It was one hell of a birthday.

I remember my 19th (legal age to drink in British Columbia, Canada)
The clerk at the counter took my ID for my liquor purchase. I remember him saying to me "it goes fast now kid."
Boy he wasn't kidding...I woke up the next morning, found out I was married with 3 kids...that I was 33 years old and carrying an extra 20 lbs.
