I'm leaving the 'Native American' thing aside, because I can tell by your question that it's not what you are asking.
Being American is not about 'True Blood'. Being American is much bigger. It's about loving life and freedom. It's about breaking class barriers. It's very much about caring for those who are less fortunate. It's about keeping government small, and allowing people to grow without government restriction. It's about being proud to be part of the greatest country on the face of the earth, because our fathers and forefathers where brave enough to fight and die for our freedom and others freedom. It's about loving people for who they are, not for what 'blood' they have.
There is a strange thing you'll notice about 'mixing'. The more we mix, the stronger we get. Not just Americans, but the whole world.
And finally, a note to the world: There are many who love freedom as much as we do, but there are some who hate us for our freedom. To those - Please don't hate freedom. Yes, with freedom comes some bad things. People won't believe EXACTLY what you want them to, and will not always behave EXACTLY as you wish. But there are many great things. More opportunity than anywhere. Freedom to think for yourself allows people to grow in amazing ways. Let government be limited to protecting it's citizens from harm, supporting infrastructure and defending and protecting the nation. Let God judge morality and keep government out of it. If you give government the power to determine how people should think and behave, it won't be long before that power turns on you.

What is "true blood?" We are a country made up of many races and ethnic backgrounds. It's always changing. Lately, we have a lot of hispanic immigrants, but in years past we had Asians, and Europeans coming over mostly. The only people here when this land was discovered were Native Americans who actually migrated here from Russia and South America generations before. Yes, there are still Native Americans among us. Yes, there are several races here which are not mixed. Many whites still marry white, many blacks still marry black ,etc. Who cares? The important thing is: we all live and work together to build a strong nation and we are very proud of our country and our ability to live together. We are also a very religious nation. We have a large number of people who go to church or temple several times each month.

Most Americans end up being mixed ethinicity at some point.
Mixed race is an entirely different thing, and not as common. Surely you know that Irish, French, etc, are not "races," they are nationality. And exactly what blood am I supposed to be true to?

Americans will have a mix of DNA, I saw a tv programme in the UK about a few people who had their blood tested. They all had a mix of DNA from all over the world, mostly North and South European, but most had some Asiatic and African too, because people over the years mix with people of other races and travel around.

If you want to get complicated I feel that the only true amreicians are the native americians. I thought we are all Americians no matter what color our skin is. Come to think of it all of our blood is red, dont that make us all true Americians.

I think the answer you are looking for is no for the most part. Most all of what we call Americans are from families that were in Europe and migrated to the United States. The only true American is that of the American Indian. I do not know how many have married in their culture to keep the only true Americans pure.

You mean like 100% one ethnicity? No - I'm 1/2 Irish and a lot of other European things. My grandmom is 100% Ukrainian though.

There is no such thing as a complete american, everybody came from somewhere else, even the "natives" crossed over from Asia long ago. Doesn't matter where you come from, France Germany England, even those places were populated from somewhere else. The only sure thing is we are all Earthlings.
