Your 4G64 engine should swap in just like a 4G63.

Look up info on how to swap in the 4G63 so that it fits and functions properly or call your local speedshop and talk to them.

Your going to need different engine mounts because the 420A engine is not a Mitsu powerplant, it was made by Chrysler. The 4G63 and 4G64 engines were made my Mitsu and should fit in without too many issues. Considering the GS-T and GSX came with the 4G63 from the factory.

I realize too that the 4G63 is turbo and the 4G64 isnt, but for basic install for engine and tranny will be the same.

Pray!!! I think you question involves more technical savvy than you will find in an open forum like yahoo answers.

Find a local mechanic in your area who deals with Mitsi's on a regular basis, and get their opinion. What you are wanting to do sounds dang near impossible without actually using the Galant tranny.

Transmissions have over 90 working parts. Some of them as small as a sliver dollar.
