I need another iPod because my old one is, well, OLD! So I was thinking and broke it down to 2 iPods: The new Shuffle and new Nano, any pros or cons about the 2?

Check out the Creative Zen series of MP3 players - better than the iPod.

Mainly depends on how much storage you need on the hard drive for music and your budget.

iPod Nano:
Pros:
-comes in different hard drive sizes: 2, 4, 8 GB
-comes in different color casings: blue, green, pink, silver, black, red
-has a cool new search feature, which Shuffle may or may not have
-has a nice color screen and more features such as holding pictures
-the new ones have 24 hours of battery life, which Shuffle may not have

Cons:
-more expensive
-a bit heavier and more difficult to transport than Shuffle
-you will probably need to get a protective skin because the casing scratches and is difficult to grip

iPod Shuffle:
Pros:
-small, light, easy to transport with you
-relatively inexpensive
-has cool factor because it is newly redesigned

Cons:
-I would think it has very limited storage space
-no screen and lacks the extra features that Nano has
-may feel inferior to people who have the Nano and better

If I were you and music was my religion, I would buy the iPod Nano and get the 8GB. That is what I got, which can hold 2000 songs.

If you just want something small, just want to listen to it occasionally, or are on a budget, then perhaps Shuffle may be better. Also, if you want to look cool to show you have the newly redesigned Shuffle or are a minimalist, then this one works too.

The pros of the shuffle is it is the smallest of the two. The cons are it has no screen and it only comes in 512 mb and 1g. The nano is close to the smallest and it has more memory. It has a screen and is light. I would choose a nano by the two you said but the iPod video is the better deal of anything.
