Big old mercedes 200 - a taxi rank one from Europe. It had LPG installed, illegally, I discovered later. I painted it black, with white doors and a white roof. Dressed in black, with a peroxide flat-top (yes. I know!). Got stopped by the Carabinieri every day (this was in Italy in the Eighties). Loved that car - drove it at 180 kms/hr through the tunnels on the Genova motorway. Slid it sideways across a busy dual carriage-way by mistake - and got away with it! - I still remember the frozen faces of the other drivers as we slid past them all, never QUITE connecting with any of the other cars....
