My daughter's crib doesn't have slats on the back panel...it's just a board...this prevents us from using a crib bumper cause there is no place to tie it. I didn't think this would be a big deal but she is now 3 1/2 months old and scoots herself all the way up and hits her head every single time she is in there...it hurts obviously b/c she cries and today it even made her head red. What can I do about this...I;m not comfortable with loose blankets b/c she's a grabber and they'll end up over her face.

Her head is red already, so what's the problem?

Use a hot glue gun to attach the crib bumper to the board. Check it each day, and if it starts to come undone, glue it again. Or how about sticking velcro to the board, and sewing the velcro to the bumper?

no DO NOT USE TOWELS. she can get sids from loose items like that. have you thought about cutting the one side off and just sewing it and making it useful for the other three sides?
