arcticchick - considering there are only 18 blue states (based on the results of the 2004 Presidential elections) - statistically there will be more NASCAR races in red states. There are 22 tracks for NASCAR races - 15 are red states, 7 are blue states. Solid argument though - way to go.
Ibkidd37 and Susiebelle04 – it’s a Southern sport? California, Nevada, Arizona, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Hampshire, Illinois, Indiana, New York, Kansas – Did you ever take geography or are you just spouting about things you know nothing about?

I know both democrats and republicans who are big fans. Personally, I could never really get into it.

Frankly when i set down and watch a race with friends I don't ask them who they vote for first. If I had to guess though I would say Republicans.

I do not know of any polls on the subject, but I would suggest to you that there are a slight majority of Republicans due to the inherent "Southernness" of the sport.

I would say republicans because most southern states are republican and NASCAR is a southern sport! And that is the truth, and i don't see why it would offent anyone.
