Yes you do. I would get a Tax accountant to do it for you with all the exceptions and issues. Whatever you do don't have H&R Block do it.

Yes- the "final return" is due by the rugular return date (April 15th) of the year after death.You may also need to file an estate tax return if the estate is large enough, or has income to the estate after the death (income in respect of a decedant)
