since most of the old cars only read to 99999 you wont see it and it's hard to prove either way. as the newer cars get older you will see more cars with high miles :)

That puts his Average annual Mileage (Assuming the car is 23 years old) at around 30,000 miles a year. That’s practically living in the car. The Avg driver will put on about 15,000 miles a year that’s double the avg. my brother has a 1977 Toyota with 388,000 miles on it. We just finished swapping the motor on it with a 1999 I-4 motor out of a totaled corolla. He wants to be able to drive the car for another 200,000 and wanted better fuel economy. The body of the car is in great shape so I am pretty sure he'll be able to get that out of it. I think 695,000 miles is the highest I have ever seen on any car, and I work with high mileage cars daily. Happy Revving

properly i have been interior the employer over 20 years, so i have considered a lot! Remembering the precise years & style numbers with the miles is the troublesome section!!!! There are some that come to ideas: I had a guy that used to get a sparkling Escort Wagon each and every 4 years. He ran a "Courier service" (talk about lengthy, troublesome miles on a vehicle) & had 378,000 miles on a 4 365 days previous vehicle! wager this is why he kept getting a similar vehicle! I also had a Plumber commerce a 10 365 days previous E350 shipment Van. This replaced into in about 1985-6, yet i save in ideas it properly because he had the former 4.9 liter straight away 6cyl engine & insisted on a similar because he had 317,000 miles on it. I, myself , rented a U-Haul truck about 7 years in the past. It replaced right into a Ford with a diesel engine & had over four hundred,000 miles on it. My brother offered his ninety 4 f150 reg cab lengthy mattress (back 4.9 engine) with 164,000 miles, in 1999 (or 2000 can not save in ideas which) in elementary words because he followed a 6 365 days previous daughter & had to get a decrease back seat. He also needed an computerized cuz his spouse couldn't stress a stick shift. so he offered yet another F150, supercab. with techniques from the way he offered his truck to a mechanic the position he took it to have it appeared at befor putting it up for sale. It nonetheless had the unique draw close ! i wager you should assert that those are only a number of the excuses why i love FORDS !

I'm in the automotive industry too. At one time I came across a Volvo with 800,000 plus miles on it. It at that time was driven by a Volvo of North America rep. And this vehicle still ran great. Like a young 20 year old girl lookin to party with a group of horny men.

My friend Kiki takes the cake. When she sold her old Honda Civic it had 356,000 miles. I was shocked that somebody wanted to buy it then. Now, looking back, I wish I'd bought it! It was a great car.

220,000 on a 1984 Porsche 911 (Carrera).
Still a beater--daily driver. Cars are indestructible if you care for them. It's had a few clutches put in, the last one by me, but overall, it has very few problems.
