no.. there is no recall.. just an article on the hand strap.. functionally it is fine.. unless you're an over zellious user the strap works fine.. nintendo is jus acknowdging this and gonna further thicken the strap in the furture just in case. you do have the option to get the newer strap from what i hear but it isnt necessary..

No they are just replacing the straps that come with the motion controller with thicker straps. No big deal.
