OK so if somehow SF wins 2 and Seattle loses 2, and the rams win thier last 3 games it will be a 3 way tie. Who gets the wild card?

The 49ers would win the division.
They would win the tie breaker with Seattle based on the fact that they beat them inthe season series 2-0.
They would win the tie breaker witht he Ram based on the fact that they would have a better conference record.

Here's hoping everything falls into place and the 49ers can return to the play-offs. I can't stand Seattle and I absolutely despise St. Louis.

In your scenario, SF wins the division based on head-to-head matchups.

The wild card teams in the playoffs are the teams in the conference with the best record that did not win their division.

Therefore, the second place record in the NFC West does not guarantee a team the wildcard, b/c if the other divisions have second place finishers with better records, they go to the playoffs.

49'ers would get the division and none of those other two will be in the playoffs as they have a better divisional record. No wild card will go to an 8-8 team.
