There are over 100 Gnomes living at the Hidden Urban Gnome Reserve & Sanctuary. What we can't figure out is, with the American Gnome population being as high as it is, how come more of us aren't being emancipated by our "owners"? It's not like it's hard, and it is the right thing to do, so why aren't more Humans doing it? http://www.geocities.com/gnome_reserve

The struggle of Gnomes is a long and sad story. Relegated to "lawn patrol," many Gnomes have suffered the indignity of being de-facto toilets for family pets. Gnomes have been the unsung heros of our nations lawn care defense for years. Indeed, many Gnomes have lost their lives defending the Morning Glories and African Lilies from stray cats and other barbaric animals. Many have stood in the path of drunken, wayward teenagers, in an attempt to protect rose bushes and Junipers.

Rise up my short, white-bearded friends. Clean the urine stains from your clothes and demand the respect you deserve.

I have four illegal gnomes living is my crooked willow tree. They are the best people you could ask for to live in your tree. They are very, very clean and know a lot about travel. Pattycake

Because you magical little man, you make my yard look splendid! Plus all the neighborhood kids would be sad if they couldn't come by and point and laugh at you with delight. Plus, if you leave my yard whois going to keep all the magic pixie fairies safe?
