Bossy/pushy people tend to get their kicks off of knowing that they have someone to "rule" over. They could be just downright mean, or they are trying to cover up a hidden insecurity. Some people just feel they have the right to be "alpha" or "in control"

(If you thought men were bad, bitchy women can be a NIGHTMARE)

You have to let them know you will not stand for their ****. You don't have to put up with being hassled around and you have the right to put an end to it.
The sooner that these individuals get it through their heads that you are "not the one", they will eventually give up and find a new outlet to torture and shove around. Even if you have to throw a few punches to know you mean business wont hurt either in extreme cases. It's also true to note bossiness can lead to bullying and that is NO fun.
If you run into these people in life (Which you will, trust meh...), just see them as obstacles that will make you stonger. If you have a terrible sibling, be grateful because you will know how to deal with difficult people when you're on your own. But remember, bossiness tends to come in levels, so you may be dealing with a mildly bossy person... or a strait up horror *****/bastard from hell.

Whatever the case, treat them fair... but be firm. Hold your ground and don't try to avoid them. Bossy people will sense this and feel they have this "power" over you and come right back to shoving you around. Let them know that their crude behavior is not going to ruin your day, and just really don't pay them any mind. Try this method and watch them go crazy.

Usually with bossy people or pushy people I try to make sure they finish what they are saying or doing before I start my own comment or action. This will allow them to see you are patient and they should follow suit. If this doesn't work, I suggest trying to talk to them about it, but talking over them isn' t the answer as it just creates chaos and nobody can hear anybody.

I..G...N..O..R..E.. them. Normally, such people crave for attention and try to get it this way. Once they know that they can get your attention only by being polite, and not being bossy or pushy, then they will learn to treat you well.
Another way is to just let them know that you are feeling overwhelmed with their behaviour and would prefer them not to interfere with your business.

to, uh, tell you the truth, I'm probablly seen as a pushy person...i deal with people like that by eff-ing ignoring them and just doing what I gotta do.

Just say to her "I have it under control. Don't worry about me." Then smile and get back to work quickly. If she continues to bug you, tell her "I have set my priorities with (insert name of Supervisor). Can we discuss this later?" If it continues, have a conversation with her about it, on a personal level. If it still continues, bring it to the boss.

I usually tell them "Mind your own business and stay the h*ll out of mine and you'll be a happier individual".

Then if they persist, I usually kick them in the wazoo...and as they lay on the ground...I politely let them know that they should have listened to my first advice...cause they would have definitely been happier.
