I have a 12 & 1/2 yr old boy, and he likes things like Yu-gi-oh cards or accessories, Magic kits, spy stuff, and absolutely loves video games - you can check with some of those video game stores that sell used games ect those are usually under 20 depending on game/system.

As far as the girl, I would say if you are looking to purchase anything else for her, maybe a diary since she is coming up on her teen years, or perhaps a scrapbooking kit where she can display her memories, friends, ect.

Or you could always find out what sorts of music they are into and perhaps get them a CD.

Good luck! I'm sure they will love whatever you give them!♥

Merry Christmas!

Go to K-Mart or Rite Aid or some store like that. They usually have pretty decent toys in the $5 or $10 range that I'm sure and 8 year old would love. It's nice to see someone perceptive of the tendancy to have an easier time shopping for one gender over another and are sensitive to the fact that it should be even.

Boyfriend? You can get him a wallet, or necklace( manly kind :p.. like from Hollister or Buckel). You could give him a picture of you two in a picture frame that you made. Or jeez, a Itunes gift card. Everbody loves music. But I would give him that if that was you last option. Give him something from you heart. Build a bear is an okay idea. But Idk how much he would like it. Maybe a watch.. Boys love video games. But make sure not to give him a video game or money for video games. They will play it to much and wont spend to much time with you... Hope this helped give you ideas. :) ~skittles~ I had the cutest idea last night! Why don't you make him "free hug" coupons!!!! Make them your self, either on the computer or if you are a good drawler, draw them!

Maybe you should ask your boyfriend what his brother is into and go from there! There is nothing worse than getting a gift that you hate or will never use, especially at that age! Good Luck and Merry Christmas!

My nephew is 8 and I got him spy toys, like night vision goggles and walkie talkie. He also got some FBI toys (handcuffs, notebook for writing stuff down). He's really into spying, but some other suggestions are star wars toys, and video games. They have these new games at Target where it's a joystick and you plug it into the TV and it holds it's own video games. I think it was like 10 bucks.

I have an 8 year old son I can tell you he likes, remote control cars, anything spy gear. If he has his own room maybe a poster of a singer or sports team he really likes. I hope this helps.

How about the Lego Bionicle sets. You can get them for under $20.00 each.
