ds lite or psp?

should i get either a psp or ds lite for christmas?

I bought a DS: lite and I love it!
My friend had a PsP and someone stole it :(.
Pros for DS:
=Revolutionary touch-screen system...most games are entirely new to control.
=Great selection of games, for everyone, except very mature audiences
=Great size and weight (both are smaller that the psp)
PLUS THE DS LITE IS LIKE $100 CHEAPER

If you do get a DS, get Elite Beat Agents and Trauma Center
both have blown my mind so far

If you like clever and inventive games- the ds lite is probably the better choice.

If you like to have a game playing ,multimedia playing, all in one type of device- then a psp will suit you better.

In all honesty though, I had a psp and was very frustrated with the load times and the gameplay for the games. The user interface is awful, and the whole experience left me feeling that Sony really dropped the ball on that device. It has potential to be much more, yet the software makes it difficult- unfortunately Sony's strong point has always been hardware, but it always fails miserably at software and trying to jam proprietary formats down the consumers throat.

I also have a DS lite and while it doesn't have much potential from a multimedia perspective, it excels at one thing- games. There are so many different types of games that just about anyone can find something enjoyable to play with.
