Do you think The First Evil from the show 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' really exists? To me it seemed like an accurate representation of evil.

-Can't really harm, but it's always there.
-It's effectiveness is based on the envrionment around it. It can tempt, manipulate, entice- but the ultimate choice is almost always on the victim's hands.
-Can 'merge' with those who are soulless, giving them super-strength.

Buffy was such a smart show lol I thought The First was a great villain where does Joss get his ideas man?

WOW i hope you don't get all sorts of smart aleck comments for this question. I personally think it's a good one( i was a buffy mark after my sisters and g/f got me hooked) The concept of the first evil i think is a GREAT concept. and one has to wonder if there is some sort of mythological tie in with it. With so many cultures and myths concerning evil and good and possesions. There's no REAL telling is a certain culture does believe in it. Satan bein the FIRST evil in he truest sense of the words ya know. Joss whedon was an EXCELLENT writer and a LOT of innovative story ideas. I could very well possible exist on a spiritual level(how else do you explain all sorts of religious sects) from christianity to it's counterpart in satanism(where is the first evil would come into play) it could explain all the serial killers etc. etc who are the worst of the worst in humanity. SO in summary the first i would have to say is a more concentrated version of the influence that satan has on our cultures.

Actually, there has been alot of speculation of what exactly is "The First Evil".

Now religious people claim the "Devil" is the first evil.
However, some people claim "religion" is the first evil.
Other people say that "Microsoft" is the first evil.

Now there must be an order to things. So should we classify them as "The First Evil...the Second Evil....the Second Evil that was Eviler than the First Evil but didn't get enough Votes?"

Or should we make an "Evil 500" like "Fortune 500" and have things try to make the grade. Or will most of the companies from Fortune 500 just move over onto the list?

Where do twinkies fall into the mix? After all, when the world is gone, those things will probably still be around (and edible).

Although I haven't seen the episode, I can safely say that "The First Evil" is simply a representation of evil projected onto the show in the form of, whatever it is, with their own spin on the idea to make the show interesting. Just like others, I'm sure Joss gets his ideas from anywhere he can. Personal experiences, images, society, etc. I've heard that Stephen King got most of his ideas in nightmares. I doesn't mean that anything he writes is true and accurate, but many of them represent social, religious, and personal battles and happen all around.

Nope. Evil was brought into the world first by Satan through Adam and the Bible is clear. All that do not accept the sacrifice made on the cross to pay for mankinds sin after the fall, will be cast into Hell and that Satan and Hell with all unbelievers will be cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.

Joss is creating his own reality which is a false one.

What a sad society we live in. People getting their religious beliefs from bubble-gummer TV shows. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light. Let him into your heart and gain wisdom. Merry Christmas.
