already went with all troubleshooting posible with ISP Tech..you name it all...it didnt work..they even gaved me a patch # from Micrsoft KB884020...still didint work...ISP Tech told my all their network test shows 0000..modem showing DSL light solid green. modem(westell 327w) saying its connected....Im connected with other PC...is just the other PC with 169.254 IP....and obviously I just gave an example of IP..I wouldnt provied my real IP...lol

169.54 is the automatic assignment address that windows will give itself in order to comply with the TCP/IP protocol.

It will only give that address when the DSL provider is not giving you one through their network.

What you really need to be doing is checking to see if your westell modem supports multiple computers and will assign shared IP addresses.

If your working computer has a 192.168.x.x style address, then it means that are you currently working on a modem that is acting like a router, if it is acting as such, you need to make sure that the ISP allows more than one computer on the same modem.

Your question does not make any sense!
It sounds like your pc is not pulling an IP address from the router, which would be a problem on your pc most likely, not the router or dsl company.
