I suppose it's possible if we are ever able to break outside of three dimensions - not that that would ever be feasible in a practical application though. Quantum entanlgement has interesting implications possibly for "transporters" - conceptually.

I believe that if the world continues the path it has been on, humans would all but destroy themselves before the technology is available. And if we do happen to overcome our own rapture, this will only be due to increased environmental protection involving reduction of greenhouse gases and better recycling and use of "natural" energy.
Suppose the latter instead of the former does happen. Then, there is a slight chance that it is probable along with possible time travel. Perhaps a more realistic way of humans traveling through the galaxy is a slow moving ship, so over several generations humans would have traveled across galaxies.

Technically, they don't travel to different galaxies in "Star Trek" the entire "Star Trek" saga is all happening in the Milkyway Galaxy.
Think of a clock. Delta Quad. is at 1-3 o'clock.(Voyager) 3-6 is Beta (DS9); 6-9 is Alpha (where we are at) and 9-12 is Gamma (DS9) In Voyager, they said it would take 69 years traveling at max warp to return home.
Even in ST, traveling at max warp, it would take centuries to travel to the nearest galaxy.

You betcha !!!
But, it will probably take some
quantum engineering. I'm not
that much distant can be covered
with rocket ships.
Maybe, instead "Beam me up, Scotty,"
we could use some type of "Beam
me there."

In terms of speed, the speed of light is improbable. "Beaming" would'nt be possible because a body can't be vaporised and then reassembled.

Not a chance.
The distances are too vast.
