In flash, is it possible to let the user controll objects, like put a picture in a block and say its correct.?

Im supposed to make a game for college but all i know is how to make buttons and make tweens. I want to make the user controll something. please help. thanx

for two items interacting with each other you need to look at the using instances of movie clips. you are able to track their x and y positions, and execute hit tests to see if one is touching (over lapping) another...
