>I have been bullied at work & nothing was done so I had to quit. What do you think I should do ? I am jobless?
=Look for another job. Learn from the experience. Get a journal and right down everything to get it off your chest and clearer in your mind. Talk to a friend or family.
>What are my options and What do you think I can or should have done differently
=Talk to the HR person or to the manager in private. Gather facts. Keep a journal of these bully events with the date. You need a record. You'll have to explain yourself. So, that is a good way to keep you on track.
>My manager called my home 8 times & never left one message. What does that tell you..Let me know what you think?
=If he wanted to he would have left a message. Maybe he was going to chew your ear off for quiting abruptly. He may have no knowledge of what is really going on. Just look at the whole thing as a learning experience. You'll likely be in a similar situation in the future. A job is a job. It's not your life. Keep trying. Someone will see the hard worker that you are and you'll be appreciated. Listen to the Gambler (Kenny Rogers).

First of all, does the company have an HR department? Is the company in the U.S. ?
If the answers to both were Yes, then why didn't you go to them?
Harrassment, and not just sexual, is illegal in the U.S., regardless of who's the boss' favorite.
Since you have already quit, there isn't much you can do unless you documented every occurance and discussed them with your boss. You may still want to contact an attorney, though, because in your state, there may be something they can do for you.
As far as your boss calling all those times and never leaving a message: It tells me that he wanted to discuss your 2 "No Call No Show" incidences. Most employers will attempt to get ahold of an employee who is out without notice; especially for 2 days. The reason he didn't leave any messages is probably he figured you were standing by the machine screening your calls and didn't care that it was him, or else you were working somewhere else. Either way, his obligation to you was over.
This is a bad way to leave a job; it doesn't reflect well with your next potential employer.
At the very least, I would call your ex-boss and tell him why you left. He may not know anything about the problems. If so, and you were as good an employee as you think you were, then he may offer you the job back. But don't count on it.
I have strict rules against rehiring someone that I terminated, and definitely against NCNS.

I think you acted appropriately. You went to an appropriate person, and nothing was done about it, so you left. That's better for you, and the company in the long run. Each office has it's own personality. Unfortunately, there's probably not alot you can do about it since regulation is very new regarding workplace bullying. Just revamp your resume and get out there and find an office where you fit! It took me a long time to find one where I really got along with the rest of the employees and my boss. If anyone asks why you left your last job, just tell them that you've come to realize, that like people, each office has it's own personality and you look forward to finding an office where you feel comfortable. You shouldn't put up with a job where you're not happy, and you definitely are under no obligation to stay somewhere that you feel sick going into work. I've been there. It sucks, and takes a huge toll.

How about your parents or guardians? They should keep the pressure on the school to do something. Teachers don't really have much power to do anything but you and your parents should be in the principal's office everyday and calling more than that about this. Your parents should also let the principal know that you are both documenting every threat: where it happened, when, what time.....and that if they don't do anything by such and such a date, you will be speaking to a lawyer to find out what the next step is. Tell him/her that if you need to sue, you will. Sometimes just a letter from a lawyer, which will cost about $25 is all it takes to get the office to know that you are serious. Also, you should be in contact with the district offices. Sometimes they even have a department for this. Let them know that the school isn't doing enough. Perhaps send the district offices the lawyer's letter and have it cc'd to the principal.

I think every work place has a "bully" and you should not have given her the satisfaction of quitting your job because of her.She has won.You should have have went to your superior,if that didn't work{cause she's the favorite} you should have gone to her higher up and so on up the chain of command till something was done about her.I am sure you are not the first complaint. At the very least you have lined up another job before quitting this one.Your manager may have been calling to talk to you not your machine.

YOU SHOULDNT have quit just because some a s s h o l e s are low lives and and are so insecure with themselves and they take it out on you. Call ur manager back and tell him/her you want ur job back and tell the manager to do something about that biotch. But if you reallly wanna find a new job. Stay at your job. look for some and WHEN YOU GET A NEW ONE quit and start working at that job...that is if the problem still occurs. hope this helped

Well for one thing you needed to tell your manager you felt bullied depite your perception that bully-babe was the manager's favorite. If he didn't address the bullying - then you escalate to HR. You should have written down the incidences when you felt bullied so that you have documentation.

But if you've already quit - what's the point in posting that question here? You need to get out and find a job. Try monster.com

Should have reported her. Wouldn't take crap from a no lifer like that person. She won because you quit. All she's doing is bothering someone else now. She should have been the one that's jobless, not you. You should have stood up for yourself. Although your manager sounds like a winner as well. Perhaps you can find a better place to work! ;)

Try this as I know that you will like it....This truly is not just about making money but having safe products in your home for you and your family. If you are interested in a home based business than you can e-mail me back at cleanandsafehome@yahoo.com and I can give you the details. I am not going to give all the hype that people look for but just tell you the truth. We don't sell, deliver or stock products. The name of our company that we work with is Melaleuca and we are proud to say their name. It is not a scam or an MLM company, it is just a fortune 500 company that care about people and enjoys paying them for referring people to them and it is as simple as that. The important part is using their products as I know that you will love and the rest comes from using them as it is truly a great story about this company. You should have never quit. If management could not reslove the problem, then documenting "her" behavior and get the other women to speak up would get that b**ch out on the street when a class-action lawsuit is proposed.
