I am in my first year of a 4 year tourism degree and I have to go out on placement for my third year. I am considering using this placement as an opportunity to relocate in another part of the UK, would I be able to do my final year at another university that runs the same course?

It's highly unlikely that another "university" would accept you as they wouldn't know what modules you had completed or coursework you had done.
In any case, what sort of a degree is a tourism degree. Do they teach you how to be a holiday rep or something. Sounds like MICKEY MOUSE is beckoning.

I am taking a human biology degree and as I have moved to the Midlands wanted to transfer my credit and finish it off at Wolverhampton Uni. Alas they would only accept me onto the second year and I would have lost much credit and spent four years half time rate studying instead of two where I am now. The credit has to match to the content of the modules at the new university. So I'd recommend finishing at your uni now or really look at module contents.

It depends on the university you want to transfer to. Most schools will want you to complete a minimum number of credit hours at their school if you will be getting a diploma from them. Usually the more basic courses are easier to transfer, because the school you graduate from will want you to take the more advanced courses from them, to make sure you are learninig what they want you to learn. If there is a way you can transfer to the other school after your first or second year, you will probably be less likely to lose any credits and have to repeat classes you've already taken.
But the best thing you can do now is get all of the information for graduation requirements from your prospective school and talk to an advisor at your current school or future school ASAP! (I've lost a lot of credits due to transferring, and if I'd done the research earlier like you are, I would have graduated a year earlier!!)

You would need to check things with the university you wanted to transfer to - it is possible to transfer credits from one university to another, providing that the modules you have completed match the content of those on offer at the new uni.

you would need to get a transcript of your results from your current university, along with information about the content of the modules.

it's probably best to do this during your placement year - you would need to apply to the new university, during that year, and if they accept you you then need to write to the registrar of your current uni to request the transfer.

But why not wait to relocate until after you complete your degree? future employers might question why you didn't commit fully to the course at one institution...

Most universities will only allow you to transfer a limited number of credits -- usually two years worth.

There are exceptions. You should check the Admissions web pages for universities that interest you.
