I'm exporting from Flash 8 Professional to players version 7 and up, and I get a size report including "ActionScript Bytes: 72529 (ActionScript 2.0 Classes)"

That is huge! I (believe) I have to do ActionScript 2.0 because it is a Flash Form Application. I have no idea how professionals squeeze their banners into the 30-40k limits that most sites require. Any suggestions?

I can't upload the fla - however, I can make almost the same FLA by creating a new one, and dragging onto it just a media Loader, and TextBox components, and bingo, the size of the flash file gets huge.

70 kb?

It would help if you provided your FLA file so that people could see your scripting.
