Check the Beckett Baseball price guide to see the value for unopened and value for individual cards. You will likely find that you benefit more by opening and finding the top players cards.

Those tend to be fairly valuable.

Promo cards from restaurants more often than not do well as far as increasing in value. McDonalds released a set in 1993 that is worth a nice amount, and the Denny's Grand Slam cards are an extablished series that has held a strong value each year.

I'm not sure what the '97 series is worth. I have several from '91 to '94, and a few are worth upwards of $10 to $15 each. Boxes of unopened cards would certainly be worth a decent amount.

The Beckett Yearly price guide has sections for restaurant and grocery promo series of cards. I would suggest looking there first. Never take a card dealers word for anything, however...especially if they immediately make you an offer to buy them.

Personally, the 1997 Denny's cards have to worth more than the entire series of cards that game out in the 1990s. Not to devalue the other years' but these cards are quality cards in my eyes. I really like these cards. The other cards were hologram cards while 1997 cards are more like a 3-D card.

They aren't going to be worth much since everyone eats at Denny's

My suggestion is to check out those Beckett books

might have to open them to get the value since it is going to depend on the players you have.
