I've never heard of the second child coming early. I think any child can come early!! I have heard that after the first child labor can sometimes be easier though.

with my first I was 2 weeks late and had an 18 hour labor with 15 minutes of pushing! With my second son I was a day early and had a 16.5 hour labor with 45 minutes of pushing..I would say just depends on your body! Every pregnancy is different...I'm having a c-section this time around due to complications I had with my last son..and I'm hoping I don't have to go through the whole labor thing again before this time!! :) GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS

mine did, 6 days early, my first was 8 days late. I have heard that before as well. I also heard labor will be faster the second time, but i guess it doesn't apply when the babies are 10 years apart! I didnt know that until I was in labor with my second, I said to the nurse"Well at least this time will be faster" She said "Not when they are that far apart" I was like what!?!?!? I am outta here, that wasn't the deal! 12 hours with my first, 18 hours with my second

Not in my case. My first child was 3 weeks over due; my second came a week after his due date, and my third is due on Dec. 26, but the doc is saying any day.

I think some do and some don't. For my mom she was ontime with her first and late with her 2nd and 3rd. My best friend was early with all 4 of hers.

Your 1st, 2nd or 9th could come early, late or right on time.

No. Every pregnancy is different--I was the second child and I came two weeks late. It's all up to your body and the baby.

We are on our second child, the first one was induced but this second one is 40 weeks and still waiting, so i guess it depends on the person but maybe there was a study done that could tell you more?

my second child was induced early but babies come when they are ready and dates are never 100% so there is not really anything to call "late"
