Things could get better in one aspect, but could be worse in others.
Does minding your own business mean turning a blind eye to crimes you see being committed?
Or ignoring someone who needs assistance, say an older person carrying heavy groceries up the stairs?
It all depends on what you mean by "minding your own"!

Well for starters - we could not answer questions like this one because we would be taking care of our own issues by ourselves.
