There are things that people say work, but I don't know if they work for everyone.

One thing is to stimulate your colon ... it can spur uterine contractions. Eat some sort of fiber that would cause you to go to the bathroom or cause gas, etc.

Nipple stimulation, sex, orgasm, bumpy rides, etc.

Also, there are some pressure points that many midwifes use to stimulate labor. My massage therapist tried them on me, but they just gave me contractions that lasted for several hours and then stopped.

Here they are: http://acupuncture.rhizome.net.nz/acupressure/induce.aspx

Good luck! My third baby is due anytime now!

i'm no longer a supporter of induction in any respect except that's mandatory. you're due the twenty 8th, maximum surprising? Oh, duh Maddie, that's on your avatar. ok, sorry. 2cm isn't undesirable, and dropping your mucus plug is likewise an indication this is close to. Plus, you have a sturdy 2 weeks until now to flow into hard artwork. i think of your possibilities are high somewhat bigger than you could think of. The extra Braxton Hicks you have, the closer you're. although, they'd in basic terms be on a short lived hiatus. attempt taking a walk as quickly as an afternoon, and shop energetic (as no longer difficulty-free because it may look to even arise off the settee, haha). Being energetic helps to hold hard artwork. undergo in ideas that it will take place whilst Diego needs it to, and generic babies tend to return later than the due date. in case you somewhat do no longer % to be brought about, communicate to your OB! i'm specific she will take your opinion under consideration a great deal. the element approximately induction is that it has a tendency to make contractions extra suitable than in case you went into hard artwork of course. of direction, this is in specific circumstances mandatory. returned, seek advice from her, and attempt to artwork some thing out. Getting there, my expensive!

Walking is one of the most effective things to do. I found that walking, sex, a giant excercise ball to bounce on, warm baths, and a gentle massage of the lower legs, just above the ankels and below the calves.

I got so frustrated with waiting for my 2nd child that I decided I was taking my husband bowling. 3 Hours later after getting excited about a date night, we had our son.

Good luck and God bless

The thing that put me in full on labor was taking a teaspoon of castor oil. It tastes horrible, you have to keep running to the bathroom but it brings those contractions on full force. If you're ready to deliver, this is your best option! Good luck!

My wife is 40 weeks, 4cm dilated. The doctor told her she can walk if she wanted or take it easy, the baby will come on its own. God Bless you and you little one!
