Porzelac, if it still available. Rolls Royce used to use it. Hard work but superb protective finish. DO NOT USE T-CUT. It is NOT a polish. It is a cutting compound for restoring odriginal colour by removing the top surface grime. Paintwork shines but has no protection whatsoever. Unfortunately, Mer is a good polish but you will find people are using it over and over again. A good wax only needs applying twice a year. Mer has be be used almost weekly.

Use Meguiars DCP 2 then Meguiars NXT Tech Wax. Or you could properly detail it using a Porter Cable and Farecla G3 compound and some Farecla Top Wax. This'll remove the swirls in the paint if you use the P/C. Results are stunning, and brings back the original showroom shine you'll lust for.

If you t-cut your car be sure and wax it afterwards, I use McGuires car care products, quite expensive though, £17 for a bottle of car shampoo, Auto Glym is good also , do not use household products such as washing up liquid to wash the car, they contain salt which can dull the paint work.
Good Luck.

T-cut or Turtle wax are both ok but the best on the market is a product called MER, it is used by most professionals but does cost a little more.
