Does Skype cost any thing to make PC to Mobile phone and/ or land line phone????...I would think there is nothing free in this world!

It costs very, very little and calls to other Skype users are completely free. It has meant so much to us to have Skype in a country where phone calls cost a small fortune. You can choose your Skype number to be based wherever convenient to you, depending on where you're going to be making most of your calls, and you make them all at local rates, with calls elsewhere costing very little more. We pay for "Skype in" so that our friends and relatives can phone us at local rates too. I'm a fan of Skype!

That's free only between like msn is free too. Skype calls to other phone has limited time free program and it's not always free. If you compare with other program that can call from PC to phone, it's not cheap at all.

Skype is free - it's a new technology so the company is offering it at no charge as a marketing ploy. If enough people pick it up, they would start selling the service or add advertising messages for the free service - just like yahoo mail.
