The mom was kissing her husband, dressed like Santa, under the mistletoe. The kid snuck down and saw them kissing and thought the mom was kissing the real Santa. Basically, the kid thought his mom was cheating on his dad with Santa.

Santa clause was the kids dad, but he was a kid, so he thought that his mom was kissing the REAL santa, and not his dad.
Basically the kid thought his mom was cheating on his dad with santa.

the kid doesn't know that his dad is dressed up as Santa and when he/she sneaks down to catch a glimpse of the jolly ol' man he is kissing his mommy.

dad dressed up as santa, and was putting the presents under the tree. mom got all hot and bothered by his furry suit, and she just couldnt contain herself, so she got up on him.
